Both Savannah and Walt go with Cougars over the strange Nittany Lion mascot.

 

Michigan State vs. Georgia

Savannah goes Georgia / Walt goes Michigan State

 

Nebraska vs. South Carolina

Both pick Gamecocks, duh. Plus, the Cornhusker mascot is very odd.

 

Ohio State vs. Florida

Walt picked Ohio State just on his own hunch. 

Savannah picked the Gators because they use a girl and boy version of the Gator mascot.

 

Wisconsin vs. Oregon

Flat-headed badger makes it very hard for them to pick against the cute Ducks.

Both go with Oregon.

 

Stanford vs. Oklahoma State

Walt likes the Cowboy mascot and Savannah likes the strange Tree of Stanford.

 

Michigan vs. Virginia Tech

Walt loves Denard Robinson and the Michigan helmets (like he should!) and Savannah likes the Va. Tech uniforms and the "Hokie" mascot is pretty cute.

 

West Virginia vs. Clemson

Both kids are for Clemson due to the awful "Mountaineer" strange human mascot.

 

Kansas State vs. Arkansas

Savannah doesn't like "Just the head" K.state mascot. Walt just thinks Arkansas is going to win. Both pick Arky!

 

SMU vs. Pittsburgh

They both chose the horse mascot in this one.

 

Arkansas State vs. Northern Illinois

I think if Savannah ever owns a school, she will have the mascot be "The Huskies." Walt agrees on this one. Both pick Northen Illinois.

 

No. 1 LSU vs. No. 2 Alabama

Savannah wants the elephant over the tiger.

Walt thinks LSU is going to win.

December 30th Game Winners Chosen by Savannah Walt.

Savannah and Walt both love the live "Lassie" mascot that Texas AM uses so they agreed on that one. TAM for the win.

They are split over Ga. Tech and Utah. Sonny's softball team this fall used the Yellow-Jackets theme for their jerseys so Savannah is going for Georgia Tech. Walt likes the name "Utes." Savannah = Georgia Tech, Walt = Utah.

Another split decision over the Cinci/Vandy game. Savannah cannot pick the "Old Man Commodore" no matter how good Coach Franklin is doing. Walt was swayed by the surge of Vandy's late season run that he saw on ESPN. (Seriously) Walt = Vandy, Savannah = Cinci.

Both kids want the "Ucklah Berns" -- they call U.C.L.A. the Uckla Berns because when I was in LA a few years ago I bought stuffed animal bears in the airport and they have called it Uckla ever since.

Walt wants Virginia because he likes the swordsman riding the horse. Savannah, against the better wishes of her father, who views everything Awebern does as an abomination, picked based on the "cute tiger mascot." So, Walt=Virginia, and Savannah = Auburn.

 

 

December 30th Game Winners Chosen by Savannah Walt.

Strange thing happened this morning - we didn't know the game started at Noon! So I saw that the score was 14 to 3 with BYU losing in the first quarter - but both Savannah and Walt admitted that they would have picked the Cougars over the weird Golden Hurricane. So both Walt and Savannah have BYU and did so honestly knowing they were already losing by 11 points!

December 29th Game Winners Chosen by Savannah Walt.

Savannah rarely picks against a "live mascot" Husky team and this is no different. Savannah goes with Washington over Baylor. However, Walt knew that they had the Heisman winning quarterback so he picked Baylor.

Both Walt and Savannah love the War-Chant from Florida State. Typically, Savannah doesn't like live human mascots like the Seminoles use, but Notre Dame uses one too, so that cancelled out. Both Walt and Savannah are going with FSU.

December 28th Game Winners Chosen by Savannah Walt.

Savannah and Walt agreed on both picks today. Texas and Air Force to win.

 

December 27th Game Winners Chosen by Savannah Walt.

Both Savannah and Walt made easy decisions in the first game of the 27th going with the Broncos of Western Michigan. They both hate the Boiler-Maker mascot. They say it's too creepy.

For the second game, Savannah had a no-brainer with the female+male mascot duo of the Wolfpack and Walt after serious deliberation and contemplation... went with the Cardinals.
 

December 26th Game Winners Chosen by Savannah Walt.

Even with an Uncle that graduated from Chapel Hill, Walt decided he liked the Missouri Tigers because they are coming into the SEC and he liked the Tiger mascot better. Savannah stuck with her Tarheel family. Also, Walt assumed that most people would pick UNC for whatever reasoning in his 9 year old mind and therefore thought he could gain ground on people by picking MIssouri if they actually won.

 

 

December 24th Game Winners Chosen by Savannah Walt.

Savannah has made what she called her "obvious" choice with the Wolfpack of Nevada who uses both a girl and boy version of their mascot.

Walt has gone with the Golden Eagles because he likes the mascot and said they looked like the steelers a little bit.

 

December 22nd Game Winner Chosen By Savannah and Walt

Both Savannah and Walt have gone with the "horses" over the "devils." This means they both picked Boise State over Arizona State.
